Owners Rick and Kathy Lopez are retiring from the food business. The couple said it's time to retire.

The two downsized from a brick-and-mortar to a food trailer to lighten the load and cost of running their food business. The couple said it took a lot of planning and time to start the food trailer.
"There is still a lot involved in running the food trailer and we are at the retirement age and we are ready to embrace that part of our lives, " the post read.
"We have placed our food trailer 'FOR SALE' you can find it on Facebook Marketplace. The business is not for sale. We are selling the food trailer fully equipped and additional equipment. Also, a local restaurateur is willing to assist a serious go getter in launching the food trailer and help with financing. So, if you know anyone wanting to start their own food trailer, pass this information along."

The owners are not closed just yet and said closing date depends on the sale of food trailer. They are open 9 a.m.-1:45 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on how busy it is. Igor's Bistro food trailer is still operating in the parking lot at Lifted Energy at 2430 16th St. in Moline.

The popular bistro restaurant opened in Rock Island back in 2017 at 3055 38th St. In March of 2024, Igor's closed their doors at the Rock Island location. They later opened their food trailer in July 2024.
Harris Pizza opened their dining room on Sunday, Feb. 8, at 2520 18th St. in Bettendorf.

Harris Pizza has reopened their dining room at their Bettendorf location at 2520 18th Street.
Harris Pizza in Bettendorf is currently on winter hours, 4-8 p.m. Tuesday-Wednesday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday-Sunday. Closed Monday. The dining room hours follow store hours.
Ryan Mosley, co-owner of Harris Pizza said, "Our Dinning room has been closed since COVID. At this time Bettendorf is the only option for eat-in. We are looking for additional team members to join us. We want your experience to be top notch before taking on more than we can handle."
The renowned, family-owned establishment in the Quad-Cities has two additional locations. They include Harris Pizza in Davenport, 524 E. Locust St., and Harris Pizza in Rock Island, 3903 14th Ave. Follow the Harris Pizza Facebook page for updates.

La Luz Mexican Restaurant closes
La Luz Mexican Restaurant closed its doors on Saturday, Feb. 7. The Mexican restaurant was located at 561 17th Ave., in East Moline.
"We’re truly grateful to everyone who supported us on this adventure and chose to support this small family business," the Facebook post read. "It meant a lot to our family to serve this community and be part of so many shared moments around the table. Thank you for your support and for the memories."
MercyOne Genesis Eldridge Family Medicine expansion opens
The newly completed expansion of the MercyOne Genesis Eldridge Family Medicine location at 301 N. 4th Ave. opened on Friday, Feb. 13.
The Eldridge location, which includes MercyOne Genesis Eldridge Family Medicine, Convenient Care, Imaging & Laboratory, has experienced significant growth over the last 11 years and is projected to continue growing. MercyOne Genesis is committed to evolving to meet the community's needs.
“The expansion has provided the opportunity to grow primary care services,” said Beau Dexter, Regional VP Operations, MercyOne Medical Group.
"MercyOne Genesis has been an integral part of Eldridge's fabric for many years. The health services provided to our residents are invaluable and deeply appreciated, and we don't take them for granted. We've watched the clinic's expansion come to life over the past year and look forward to its opening, as well as the expanded services that will be provided in the years to come," Scott Campbell, Eldridge Mayor.
MercyOne Genesis added 7,669 sq ft of space to expand to 13 new exam rooms, new offices, two procedure rooms, an expanded laboratory, and a larger convenient care area.
The second phase of construction will begin this summer and will include Convenient Care and Imaging & Laboratory.
City of Moline City Services Center opens
Moline Parks and Recreation, Community & Economic Development, and the Building Departments are now located at the new City Services Center, located at 1830 Sixth Avenue.
The new space features a gymnasium and multi-purpose recreational room and your one-stop location for registrations, facility reservations, memorial purchases, and in-person support.
The Finance Department has not moved. In-person payments should still be made at 1630 8th Avenue (attached to the Central Fire Station).
Stretch Zone to hold ribbon cutting
Stretch Zone will hold a ribbon-cutting to celebrate its grand re-opening on Friday, Feb. 20 at 10:30 a.m. The business is located at 6844 Championship Drive in Bettendorf.
Stretch Zone is a practitioner-assisted stretching studio that uses a proprietary, patented strapping system to isolate, stabilize, and stretch muscles. It focuses on increasing the active range of motion and enhancing mobility by re-educating the nervous system, rather than just increasing flexibility.
