Tractor Supply Co. coming to the Quad-Cities
Tractor Supply Co. is coming the Quad-Cities into the former Big Lots location at 4555 16th St. in Moline by SouthPark Mall. Shown is a stock photo of a Tractor Supply Co. location.
Tractor Supply Company, the nation’s largest rural lifestyle chain, is moving into the former Big Lots store in Moline. Tractor Supply Co. has over 2,300 stores in 49 states, with 90 new locations planned by the end of 2025. At least 18 of the new locations were formerly Big Lots stores, following the chain’s bankruptcy.
The chain has equine and pet supplies, grooming, clothing, tools and hardware, lawn and garden and seasonal items.Â
A Tractor Supply Co. spokesperson said the soft opening is scheduled for late September 2025 and a grand opening is expected in early October 2025. The location address is 4555 16th St. in Moline and the store is anticipated to include a pet wash.

Boozies Bar & Grill new location in the works

Boozie's Bar & Grill last day of service was Friday, July 25. Originally the bar and grill had Sunday, July 27, to be its last evening, but due to building issues it had to close a couple days early.
Boozie's Bar & Grill, known for its "Boozie" Burger, was established in 1979 and located at 114 W. Third St. in downtown Davenport. Boozie's is looking for a new location nearby, and it may take two to six months according to a Facebook post. The move is due to structural issues with the downtown Davenport building.Â

D'Lua – Italian & Japanese Fusion Cuisine opens in Bettendorf
D'Lua Fuision Cuisine is reopening with new food concept in Bettendorf. In June the restaurant announced on Facebook they had started a new chapter in their culinary journey at their 18th Street location in Bettendorf, on of D'Lua's five locations.
The rebranded restaurant offers a combination of Italian and Japanese food with a touch of Mexican flavor. The restaurant offers appetizers; a kids menu; salads; soup and rice; pizzas, including gluten free options; pastas, including gluten free options; sushi; homemade desserts and more. To view menu click here. Operation hours are 5-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 5-10 p.m. Friday. Brunch 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, dinner 4-10 p.m. Saturday and 4-8 p.m. Sunday.

A new chapter for Head Nods & High Fives
The Kewanee pizzeria Head Nods & High Fives has announced new hours and lunch service.
Head Nods & High Fives said on Facebook on Wednesday, July 30, that they will be taking over the front-of-house operations from John and Nicole Cernovich, who have been their partners from day one.
"Their collaboration was instrumental in helping HNH5 grow from a home-based operation into what it is today. For that, we have immense respect and gratitude,"Â Â owner Kevin Newton said in the post. "Now, as we move into the next phase for the business, they are handing the reins over to us. This allows us to bring both the food and front-of-house experience under one roof, guided by a single vision."
The post went on to thank the Cernovichs for their support and "a partnership well done."
Starting on Wednesday, Aug. 6, the pizzeria will add lunch and be open from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.Â

The pizza pay homage to Chicago's legendary Italian beef sandwich, bringing all those iconic flavors together on their signature crust.Â

The Red Barn turning the page on business
The Red Barn, located at 106 S. State St. in Geneseo, is turning the page on the business. The retail/boutique business store will come to a close at a later date but but will continue offering permanent jewelry by appointment, their custom hat bar, and private parties either in-store or at other locations and will eventually be shifting their retail presence to online only. The space at The Red Barn will be transformed into an event space for small gatherings.

"From starting as a small online shop in 2019 to growing into a mobile boutique, opening a storefront in East Moline and eventually buying our beautiful building in Geneseo — this journey has been nothing short of incredible. It’s been filled with grit, growth, blessings, and a whole lot of heart," said Ashley Marshall, owner of The Red Barn, in a July 24 post on Facebook.
The retail store is still open, with a final date to be announced later. Gift cards can be used in-store, online, or for permanent jewelry or their custom hat bar.
The plan is for the retail space to become an event space.
