The sports bar has pool tables, darts and sports on TV. The Bulldog Arms building features a mural titled "Lost Frequencies," painted by artist Dominic Laporte during Alternating Currents festival in August.

The new bakery and cafe, located at 503 10th Ave. W in Milan, formerly Bowlyou's Ice Cream and Grill, is still undergoing construction in their lobby area. Anna Mae's serves breakfast until 11 a.m., lunch and dinner from 11 a.m.-till close. Menu selections are posted in the drive-thru.

Bootleg Hill Honey Meads reopens with new taproom

Bootleg Hill Honey Meads, founded in 2013, is back to serving meads at their new location. Bootleg Hill held their grand reopening on Friday, Sept. 19, at 226 W. Third St. in downtown Davenport in the historic Central Office Building. The meadery moved out of 321 E. Second St. in July and was closed for two months but held Alternating Currents, Open Mic Night, musicians, and special events at their new Third St. location while gearing up for the new taproom.
The new taproom offers customers the chance to try many different varieties of meads and mead cocktails. They also serve beer and wine.
The Bootleg Hill also sell at the farmers market, online and through Dimitri Wine and Spirits.Â

New local bar, Nubs Bar & Microwave, opens in Davenport
Behind the bar is owner Jennifer Grabau at Nubs Bar & Microwave, at 2202 W. Third St. in Davenport.
Nubs Bar & Microwave made their debut on Tuesday, Sept. 16, and celebrated with a grand opening extravaganza on Saturday, Sept. 20. The new bar is located at 2202 W. Third St. in Davenport.
The establishment features a "Cadillac Lounge" stage in the bar.
"We will try our best to feature music as much as possible on Saturdays, geared towards blues and outlaw country," owner Jennifer Grabau said. "We have darts, picks, and a pool table. We serve microwave food, pizza rolls, hot pockets, bagel bites, etc."
The bar also has karaoke on Wednesdays with Scuba Steve from 9 p.m.-1 a.m.
