Milan Masala Cantina opens in Milan
Authentic Indian dishes, classic Mexican favorites and a fusion of both cuisines are on the menu at Milan Masala Cantina. The new Indian and Mexican fusion restaurant opened in Milan on Thursday, Sept. 25. The restaurant is located in Gaslight Square Plaza at 315 10th Ave., W. in Milan.
Milan Masala Cantina has a variety of appetizers, entrees, accompaniments, biryani, tandoori, a kids menu and more. Daily grand lunch buffet is available from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Click here to view menu.

The new studio has over 10 instructors teaching all kinds of yoga including chair, senior, restorative, women’s rising, yoga for menopause and gentle. They have additional fitness and wellness classes as well and plan to continue adding more.

The Spectrum Pub opens in Cambridge
The Spectrum Pub is located at 117 S. East St., Suite 1 in Cambridge. The new pub and restaurant opened on Saturday, Oct. 4.
A new gathering place has opened in downtown Cambridge. The Spectrum Pub opened on Friday, Oct. 4, bringing a fun, family-friendly atmosphere in the heart of the community.
The Spectrum Pub has a full food menu, lunch and dinner, a private gaming room and a full bar. It plans to host live music and community events, as well.
The Spectrum Pub is open 11 a.m.- midnight, daily. The kitchen serves lunch from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and dinner from 4-9 p.m. The pub has dine-in, take-out and delivery. Guests can enjoy their food and drinks in several inviting spaces, including pub-style seating on the lower concrete balcony and tables and chairs on the upper balcony, both of which offer full food and drink service. Inside, a serving window behind the bar connects to the arcade, and a doorway near the restrooms allows guests to move easily between the pub and arcade. The pub’s liquor license covers both sides, meaning guests can enjoy food and drinks on the arcade side as well.
To maintain a family-friendly environment, the front door to the arcade will close at 9 p.m. when the kitchen closes — but adults are welcome to keep playing games in the arcade until midnight.
The Spectrum Pub will feature a private gaming room located just off the bar. While the space is ready, the pub is still awaiting the final state inspection and gaming license approval.

Flip’s Pancake House will be opening its fifth Quad-Cities location in Rock Island. Flip’s Pancake House has locations in Moline, Davenport and two in Bettendorf. Flip’s serves skillets, wraps, salads, mimosa flights and Bloody Marys. The popular Quad-Cities breakfast and brunch restaurant announced the expansion and new location on their Facebook page. Tractor Supply Co. has opened in Moline. The new location for the nation’s largest rural lifestyle chain is at 4555 16th St. in Moline, the site of the former Big Lots store near SouthPark Mall. Tractor Supply held a grand opening on Saturday, Oct. 4.
The chain has over 2,300 stores in 49 states, with 90 new locations planned by the end of 2025. At least 18 of the new locations were formerly Big Lots stores, following the chain’s bankruptcy.
Tractor Supply has equine and pet supplies, grooming, clothing, tools and hardware, lawn and garden and seasonal items.

Anthony’s Taste Your Way Around the World food truck opens
Anthony’s Taste Your Way Around the World is now on wheels. Anthony’s Restaurant was originally located at the American Legion Post #26 in Davenport and for a short time serving at Rookies Sports Bar & Grill before Rookies closed. Most recently, Anthony’s has been serving at the Freight House Farmers’ Market. Anthony’s now operates as a food truck and is booking locations in the Quad-Cities. The food service made the announcement on Facebook.
“We are going to start booking locations throughout the Quad Cities. We will be offering our amazing chicken fried rice, Puerto Rican empanadas and yes, definitely our awesome Cuban sandwich and much more from around the world!” a Facebook post announcing the change said.

West Locust Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh reopened
The West Locust Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh in Davenport reopened on Friday, Oct. 3, after a fire that occurred on Sept. 10.
The convenience store’s operations were temporarily paused, but gas pumps remained open while crews renovated the interior of the store. The West Locust Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh is located at 2353 W. Locust St. in Davenport.
Trial Run Quad Cities, show store, now open in Davenport
A Davenport North graduate, Holden Conner, 24, has opened his new shoe store, Trial Run Quad Cities. The new shoe store opened on Saturday, Oct. 4, in NorthPark Mall, across from the new Hibbett Sports.
Trial Run is a buy, sell, trade store for sneakers, streetwear, and vintage clothing. They offer a curated selection of exclusive kicks and apparel.

Centre Station to hold ribbon cutting
MetroLINK – Centre Station will hold a ribbon cutting to celebrate the official reopening following a $2.5 million capital improvement project on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 10 a.m. The facility is located at 1200 River Drive in Moline.
Renovations include:
- Transformation of the lobby to improve functionality and overall aesthetics.
- Reimagined convenience shop offering food and refreshments on the go.
- New entrance vestibule to mitigate heating and cooling loss.
- New HVAC system for more efficient heating and cooling.
- Community art mural by artists Werc & Geraluz, in partnership with Quad City Arts.
- Updated public bathrooms to improve safety and ADA accessibility
